Looks like the folks at Nick are really doing some things right and consistently; the channel has managed to remain at the top of the ratings chart for three continuous weeks now.
This week didn’t witness much change among the top five contenders in the kids’ genre. Nick continued to lead the charts with 211 TVTS (212 TVTs in wk 34).

Coming in at a close second place was Disney Channel India with 207 TVTs (203 TVTs), followed by Turner International India’s Cartoon Network with 189 TVTs (189 TVTs), Hungama with 167 TVTs (172 TVTs) and Pogo taking the fifth position with 149 TVTs (154 TVTs).
In terms of the reach of the channels, Nick was at 38 per cent closely followed by CN’s 36 per cent.

In an earlier interaction with AnimationXpress.com, Viacom18 EVP and business head – kids cluster, Nina Elavia Jaipuria stated: “I believe that the continuous growth of our two home grown IPs, namely Motu Patlu and Pakdam Pakdai, has really contributed to the boost in our standings.”
“Motu Patlu’s’ contribution has grown threefold to 32 per cent in 2014. Similarly, ‘Pakdam Pakdai’s’ viewership has jumped to 12 per cent in 2014 from 6 per cent last year,” she had revealed.
