This season of Colors' much talked reality show Bigg Boss which has bunch of wannabe's crossing the lines of cheapness is expected to wrap up on January 2nd 2015. But here is a twist..the reality show has got an extension. Yes you read it right Bigg Boss 8 got an EXTENSION of FOUR weeks..

From Daindra Soares and Gautam Gulati's liplock to their bathroom visits, from Karishma Tanna's drama for makeup to Dimpy's shedding 'magarmach ke aansu' (in front of his estranged husband Rahul Mahajan) during 'Party To Banti Hai' task, from Sonali's slap incident to Ali Quli Mirza's farting and pissing incident in garden area during captaincy task, each episode of this reality show has managed to raise lots of eyebrows.

Now the makers want to add some more masala in this 83 days old reality show and thus are planning to extend this season by 4 weeks. So if everything goes well, this season might end in January end or February’s first week.

The channel approached a few contestants from previous seasons to participate in this season. Yes you read it right 'the channel approached'. Till now only Endemol (the makers of Bigg Boss) used to approach the contestants but this time the channel is contacting ex-contestants of Bigg Boss to be a part of this season.

When we quizzed about this, our source said, “Usually Endemol approaches people to participate in the show. But now the channel is holding 'casting ki kamaan' and the makers are on the back seat.”

So who all have been approached already? “Till now we have approached so many contestants from previous seasons. Dolly Bindra from season 5, Imam Siddiqui from 6th season and Ajaz Khan from last season are expected to enter as wild card entries in this season,” says our source.

We got in touch with Dolly, but she requested us to contact channel.

Imam however confirmed that he was approached but will enter inside the Bigg Boss house only if channel fulfills his monetary demands. “I will participate only if they give me 1 crore,” he said.

If you are surprised with this extension news then wait here is another twist in the tale.

Host Salman Khan, who last year expressed his desire not to continue hosting the next season, is not happy with this decision of extending this season. The channel is trying to convince him and on a safer side they are looking for other options as well. They even approached Karan Johar to host the extended season however KJO has not yet given the green signal.

The channel might change their mind and wrap up this season on time. But right now, they are stuck to their decision of extending the reality show.

Rajev Paul confirmed that he called off his engagement..

We reported earlier that actor Rajev Paul, who got engaged to Kavita Sarin on April 5 2014 called off the engagement. At that time he said, "We are very much together." He even went ahead and had given clarification to a newspaper.

"I have been inundated with calls from my family and friends inquiring about the status of my relationship. Such false stories lead to unnecessary complexities. I was at my mother's funeral and nothing was more important to me at that time. You can't expect me to post my pictures from the funeral just to justify my personal relationships," Rajev said

Today he himself let the cat out of the bag. "Somethings are not meant to be..Yes it didn't work out..She is a wonderful girl who will always remain special to me..and I sincerely wish her love, luck and happiness always. If it doesnt grow..let it go..Someday, maybe I shall find love..until then I will try and find myself. This year has been tough..but then somehow life prepares you for everything..Thank you all for your warmth and concern for both of us...Means a lot..," Rajev wrote on his networking site.

#BiggBoss8 Day 82 Synopsis: Kissa Kursi Ka!

Day 82 of the Bigg Boss house starts with yet another battleground for captaincy. Ali gets fidgety and stays up all night while sitting on the ‘Kursi’ in the hope of becoming the captain of the house for the third time. Dimpy, on the other hand, tries to talk to Ali into giving her the seat. In fact, other contestants also join in and try to convince Ali to let Dimpy be the captain for the coming week but to no avail. Ali simply states that he is doing this for himself and not anyone else thereby dismissing everyone and their requests.


As the morning creeps in Dimpy continues to distract Ali along with other contestants who continue to support her. Dimpy plans to irritate Ali by bringing in “mirchi water” by threatening to put it on his face if he does not leave the seat. However, as soon as Dimpy comes close Ali, he stands up on the chair in order to defend himself. Taking full advantage of this, Dimpy takes her chance and sits on the chair while stating that since Ali technically stood up, he is right in usurping the seat. Seeing her tactics, Ali gets upset.

All the housemates tell Dimpy that her behavior is incorrect and unfair, but Dimpy is not ready to budge. Seeing Dimpy’s stubbornness, Ali gets irritated and tries to move her from the chair. Soon, both Dimpy and Ali are seen sharing the seat even as the cold vibes continue to flow between them. Not wanting to indulge in a huge fight for captaincy, the duo decide to leave the decision on Bigg Boss as to who, between them, will become the captain.

As the day progresses, Karishma is called into the confession room. She is then asked to rate all the housemates including herself on a scale from one to hundred. Karishma is further informed that the ratings are to be based on the individual performances of all the contestants during their luxury budget task “Party toh Banti Hai”. Karishma, though initially confused, firmly states her decision on the given sheet and scores the contestants.

Later in the evening, all the housemates are asked to gather in the living room area and are informed that the ratings given by Karishma will affect the luxury budget that they will receive for the week. Hearing this, Karishma gets tensed while the other housemates look confused because Karishma had clearly lied to them about the scores that she had given them. When the housemates hear of the ratings they have received from Karishma, most of them seem upset but choose to not react at that time. Karishma does not regret her decision, but becomes the hot topic of discussion in the house because of her choices. However, on a lighter note, Karishma’s decisions also mends some cracked relationships.

What will happen when housemates will get to know their respective ratings? Will have to wait and watch.

TAM Ratings Week 49, 2014: TVM(TRP) & GVT(GRP)

Hindi GEC genre leader Star Plus and Colors were the only gainers in terms of viewership in the week ended 6 December.

While Star Plus gained 17 GVMs (gross television viewership in million), Colors added 9 GVMs. Epic, which launched recently, also saw viewership gain, collecting 3.7 GVMs in the week.

The pecking order remained unchanged in Week 49, as per TAM data (sourced from subscribers) for the Hindi-speaking market.


Here is how the Hindi GECs performed:

• Star Plus continued its reign with 642 GVMs, up from 625 GVMs in the trailing week. 
• Colors was at No. 2 with 476 GVMs, up from 467 GVMs. 
• Zee TV was at No. 3 with 419 GVMs, down from 435 GVMs.
• Life OK was at No. 4 with 296 GVMs, down from 324 GVMs. 
• SAB was at No. 5 with 281 GVMs, down from 299 GVMs. 
• SET was at No. 6 with 226 GVMs, down from 230 GVMs. 
• Sony Pal was at No. 7 with 33 GVMs, same as the previous week. 
• Zindagi was at No. 8 with 31 GVMs, same as the previous week
• Sahara One was at No. 9 with 10 GVMs, compared to 9 GVMs in the trailing week.
• Epic collected 3.7 GVMs, up from 2.9 a week ago

Laut Aao Trisha to go off-air?

24 Frames' show 'Laut Aao Trisha' on Life OK, which marked small screen debut of Bhagyashree, is all set to wrap-up in next month.

An adaptation of Spanish TV series "Donde esta Elisa", the show focused on the ugly side of a family and its ties. Touted to be very bold in terms of content, the show is expected to end in January barely 6 months after it was launched.

We tried to get in touch with producer Bhairavi Raichura, but she remained unavailable for comment.

Day 80 in the Bigg Boss 8 will witness the first ever celebrity party inside the house! Housemates wake up in full enthusiasm dancing on the tracks of “Party Abhi Baki Hai” and gear up for their luxury budget task ‘Party Toh Banti Hai’.

In the morning housemates are provided with food ingredients to prepare dinner for the guests. Team Pritam and Team Puneet ready themselves  to cook meals for their respective celebrity friends. Diandra from Puneet’s team takes charge in the kitchen and prepares  pasta and hakka noodles while Pritam decides to take Praneet’s help in cooking.  Karishma is not allowed to interfere in between the two teams. However soon there is an argument as to who will cook what. The ingredients provided to them are limited. Housemates decide to use their personal and luxury budget too. Karishma and Diandra appear to be skeptical whether it is a good idea to do so.
The contestants also decorate the house with balloons, ribbons and other decorative items given to them. Since nobody includes Dimpy in their teams, she is designated as the waitress responsible to serve food to the guests. In the evening, housemates adorn themselves in party attires to welcome their friends. Team Puneet conduct the party in the Garden area while Team Pritam swanks up the living area for their party.

The party takes its course in full swing as celebrity guests start pouring in full force. Present at the party were Ramesh Taurani, Suniel Darshan, Raza Murad, Kamal Sadanah, Sambhavna Seth, Kashmira Shah, Pankaj Dheer, Nikitin Dheer, Zulfi Syed, Aanchal Kumar, Mamik Singh, Suresh Menon, Malishka, Mantra, Suchitra Pillai, Vindu Dara Singh, Firoz Khan, Sayantani Ghosh, Rahul Mahajan and musician duo, Sajid & Wajid.

While watching tonight’s episode, the viewers for sure will relive their mythological memories of Duryodhan, Arjun and Karan coming together on-screen after a long hiatus as Puneet reunites with his Mahabharat co-stars, Pankaj Dheer and Firoz Khan. Actress Sabhavna Seth bonded well with Gautam Gulati while Suchitra Pillai, Kashmira Shah and Diandra shared some quality time with each other. Malishka and Mantra greeted their  friend Pritam with full enthusiasm. Vindu Dara Singh was seen speaking with all the contestants and sharing his experience as a former contestant. Sonali Raut performed on “Saat Samandar Par” for the guests while Gautam and Diandra shook a leg to the tunes of “Chumma Chumma De De”. Rahul Mahajan and Dimpy Mahajan shared a few emotional conversations. Suneel Darshan and Ramesh Taurani told the housemates that they don’t need to introduce themselves as the whole nation knows them.
