Karan Sharma, who is currently seen in Sony Entertainment's Ek Nayi Pehchan recently went to St. Xavier's College(Mumbai) to judge the street plays at Malhar festival.
Talking about his experience as a judge, Karan said, "I had a fabulous time judging the Street Play at Malhar along with Sameer Soni and Love Sex Aur Dhokha actor Anshuman Jha. It was a great learning experience as I got an opportunity to know about NREGA (National Rural Employment Guarantee Act) and Army Act, 1950. The participants also showcashed the advantages of RTI (Right to Information) and RTE(Right to Education)."

Karan & Sameer were shocked when they saw the act performed by Darsheel Safary's team. "I was surprised to know how beggars made to disappear from Delhi streets during Commonwealth Games in 2010. Also, I was not aware about 'The Bombay Prevention of Begging Act, 1959', which criminalizes begging and has aimed to remove beggars from their current illegal profession," affirmed Karan.
