Singer Vandana Somaiya releases her album with music composed by Anup jalota On the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami; Saurabh Raaj Jain portraying the character of Krishna in the Indian Mythological television drama serial on star plus Mahabharat the album "Bhakti Vandana" was launched by Bhajan Samrat Anup Jalota ,Saurabh Raaj Jain and singer Vandana Somaiya.

Bollywood’s singing brigade came in to show their support for the album. The music enthusiast who attended the launch were Sumeet Tappoo Rajeev Mahavir, Amy Billimoria, Dr.Ruby Tandon, Dr.makani and Aneel Muraraka.
Saurabh Raaj Jain launched the album "Bhakti Vandana" admits Anup Jalota and Vandana Somaiya. When asked Saurabh Raaj Jain (who is currently seen as Lord Krishna in Mahabharat) about the album he says, " The serene voice of Vandana ji will leave everyone spell bound. The album has the perfect blend of the two melodious voices that of Anup ji and Vandana ji, which makes the songs a must listen to everyone. The mesmerizing numbers by the two melodious singers will create the magic of devotional music".

On the launch of the album Bhakti Vandana Bhajan Samrat Anup ji says, "Bhakti Vandana is about getting connected to God through a rare musical journey and what better than launching the album on the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami. When asked Vandana Somaiya about her released album Bhakti Vandana she says, “Bhakti Vandana is a special dedication to my husband and two beautiful daughters and to those that have a burning desire to follow their dream but circumstances or society rules may act as a hurdle. So there is only one thought I shall part with”. She further adds " With Anup ji's support and guidance we are launching our new album Bhakti Vandana. The album consists of all the elements glorifying the love for the higher power. Janmashtami is the best occasion for the launch of the album and my hearty thanks to Saurabh Raaj Jain for his integral participation and launch the album".

The word devotion is often described as religious worship or love and loyalty towards a higher being. Vandana Somaiya devotion to music is synonymous with that of a devotee to the Lord, and it is from this sentiment that Bhakti Vandana has been conceived.
Vandana Somaiya yearning to learn and perform Hindustani vocal was apparent from a young age. Vandana Somaiya’s father, Mansukhlal Kotak, who is an accomplished harmonium and vocal artist, had a prominent name in the London network, and this presented Vandana Somaiya with a wealth of opportunities to perform and cultivate her talent. She would perform at live shows and competitions as a young girl but over time, as with any woman’s life, her priorities shifted and she devoted many years to being a loyal wife and mother. Her thirst to become an accomplished singer remained inside of her, so with the support and encouragement of her family, she was able to follow her passion.

Vandana Somaiya began the pivotal part of her musical journey a decade ago, where she would leave her husband and two daughters behind weeks at a time in order to come to Mumbai in search of the right Guru to pursue her passion. The feeling of loneliness and being away from home was like no other, but with the focus, discipline, and devotion inside of her, she continued on her chosen path. Vandana Somaiya was fortunate along the way to meet some very senior and inspirational personalities within the field, who helped to guide her and open up a plethora of opportunities for Vandanato perform and grow as an artist. Of notable mention is Padmashri Anup Jalota-ji, who took her under his wing to give her the most selfless mentoring and support. It is with his creative flair and deep rooted knowledge of Hindustani classical music that she along with Anup ji presented the Bhakti Vandana album.
